As a key member of the Global Commercial Team and the Global Insights & Analytics organization within Takeda’s Strategy & Portfolio Development function, the individual serves as a trusted strategic partner, delivering actionable, decision-oriented insights that inform clinical development and early commercialization strategies. The role supports critical decisions related to study design, endpoint selection, and product positioning by integrating market data, stakeholder perspectives, and competitive intelligence. Additionally, the position collaborates across indication teams to ensure aligned franchise strategies and leverages prior commercialization and launch experience to enhance launch readiness and capability development across the broader franchise.How you will contribute:Strategic Insights & Competitive IntelligenceLead qualitative and quantitative research to understand treatment landscapes, unmet need, and treatment dynamicsMonitor competitors, pipeline developments, and evolving standards of careTranslate insights into clear implications and recommendations for cross-functional teamsClinical & Commercial StrategyProvide input to indication strategy, study design, endpoints, and positioningInform the Clinical Development Plan (CDP) and early commercial strategy with insight-driven perspectivesSupport development of target product profiles (TPPs), business cases, and strategic narrativesForecastingInform key forecast assumptions based on insights and competitive intelligencePartner with forecasting teams to ensure alignment of inputs, assumptions, and outputs over timeSupport scenario planning and stakeholder alignmentCross-Functional PartnershipServe as insights lead for transplant-related workstreamsPartner closely with R&D, Medical, Commercial, and regional teamsCommunicate clear, data-driven perspectives to support decision-makingMinimum Requirements/Qualifications:Required: Bachelor’s degree; MBA, PharmD, or PhD preferred8–10+ years of experience in market research, insights, forecasting, analytics, or strategyBackground in strategic consulting or competitive intelligence strongly preferredExperience supporting drug development and/or commercialization (launch or inline)Experience owning and managing patient-based forecasts (inputs, assumptions, tracking overtime)Demonstrated experience contributing to launch strategy or commercial readiness effortsStrong analytical, synthesis, and communication skillsExperience in transplant, immunology, or specialty care a plusStrategic and agile thinker who translates data and competitive intelligence into actionable strategyExperience bridging clinical development and commercialization to inform decision-making across the asset lifecycleStrong understanding of how to generate insights that impact both early-stage strategy and downstream executionExperience managing and evolving patient-based forecastsAbility to operate across indications and contribute to franchise-level thinkingCollaborative, influence-based leader comfortable operating in ambiguityTravel Requirements: Required up to 10%.More about us:At Takeda, we are transforming patient care through the development of novel specialty pharmaceuticals and best in class patient support programs. For Location:Cambridge, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:$154,400.00 - $242,550.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
