Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:30 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in specialty areas License: SC or Compact RN License Certifications: BLS, Clienttion badge to be provided by parent company Must-Have: - Experience in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Robotics, and Total Joints. - Ability to float within Periop facility as needed. - Well-rounded in specialties that align with the caseload. Description: The position is for an Ambulatory Operating Room Registered Nurse. The shift is 10 hours, 4 days per week, from 06:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Scheduled days off will be determined based on department needs, but special requests will be considered if possible. Scheduled late shifts may occur a few times a month. On-call duty is not required. Candidates must hold a current license and BLS certification. A radiation badge is to be provided by the parent company. Experience in multiple surgical specialties is required as the unit cares for a diverse patient population. The role includes prepping patients for surgery, monitoring patient vitals, and handling post-anesthesia recovery. The unit consists of 2 ORs and procedural rooms, focusing solely on Orthopedic surgeries and select other specialties. The pre/post RN collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and operating room nurses in a fast-paced environment. The patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Bays are available for pre/post patients. Staff will also include interdisciplinary support from various services. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work environment with varying patient needs.
