About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVPICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day options available Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30 or 19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of three years in a high acuity hospital; strong Pediatric ICU experience and at least one year of CV experience required License: State RN license or compact RN license required Certifications: AHA BLS and PALS required Must-Have: EPIC experience required; must pass Telemetry test prior to start Description: Full-time Registered Nurse positions are available on a Pediatric ICU unit. Shifts are 12 hours, either day or night, depending on unit needs. Weekend and holiday shifts are required. Strong Pediatric ICU and CV experience is essential. Candidates with Level II experience may be considered if from a high acuity hospital. Responsibilities include managing critically ill patients and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to provide family-centered care. Experience in the following skills is required: - End-Tidal CO2 monitoring - Administration of blood products - Management of intubation and ventilated patients - Central line and arterial line management - Care of patients with congenital heart disease - Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) - Management of dysrhythmias - Telemetry monitoring, both on unit and remotely The unit serves a diverse group of pediatric patients with various medical and surgical needs, including cardiac anomalies, neurological disorders, and multi-system organ failure. Travelers will be required to float as needed. Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills are critical for this role.
