Medical Surgical Telemetry RN - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift

Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) with required weekend coverage every other week.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Medical Surgical Telemetry RN to join our team on the night shift. The nurse will provide care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring in a float position, supporting various departments as needed. The position involves team nursing with a patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:8.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical surgical telemetry patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as per protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
• Document patient assessments and care in the electronic medical record (Epic).
• Participate in code blue and rapid response situations as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in a similar setting.
• ACLS preferred, BLS required.
• Active RN license required upon submission.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and management of cardiac drips.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system is required.
