Dietary Aide

Job Purpose:- The Dietary Aide at Oaks Senior Living plays a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and well-balanced meals that cater to their dietary needs and preferences. This position is essential in promoting the health and well-being of our residents by assisting in meal preparation, service, and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment.Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established guidelines and dietary requirements.- Ensure that food is presented in an appealing manner and served at the correct temperature.- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining and kitchen areas, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.- Collaborate with the dietary team to accommodate special dietary requests and restrictions.- Monitor food inventory and report any shortages or discrepancies to the kitchen supervisor.- Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe dining experience for residents.- Assist in setting up dining areas and clearing tables after meals.- Provide friendly and courteous service to residents, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in food service and safety.- Support the overall mission and values of Oaks Senior Living by fostering a positive and respectful environment for residents and staff.Required Education:- High school diploma or equivalent.Required Experience:- Previous experience in a dietary aide or food service role, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.- Familiarity with dietary restrictions and nutrition guidelines for seniors.Required Skills and Abilities:- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform tasks such as lifting and carrying trays.- Compassionate and patient demeanor to provide excellent service to senior residents. #J-18808-Ljbffr Oaks At Pooler Llc
