## Box Truck DriverApplylocations: Tustin, CAtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: JR105749# **Title:**Box Truck Driver# **Job Description:****Job Overview**The Box Truck Driver is responsible for transporting goods and materials in a timely, safe, and efficient manner using company-provided box truck (typically Class C or under 26,000 lbs GVWR).**Roles & Responsibilities**To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.* Operate a truck to deliver goods to customers, warehouses, or business locations.* Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment or by hand when required.* Follow a designated delivery route and maintain a timely schedule.* Perform pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections of vehicle and report any issues.* Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and customer receipts.* Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers.* Ensure goods are secured properly and handle all cargo with care.* Comply with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.* Keep the vehicle clean and in good operating condition.* Other duties as assigned.**Qualification**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. **Education and/or Experience**No education requirementPrevious experience driving a box truck or similar vehicle preferred.Experience using GPS and delivery tracking systems.**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations**Must have a valid driver's licenseMust have a clean driving record.**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs or more).Strong attention to detail and time management.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns.Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.**Supervisory Responsibilities**This position has no supervisory responsibilities**Physical Demands & Work Environment**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
