Help Desk TechnicianArkansas State University–Beebe, a two-year residential community college within the Arkansas State University System, is seeking to fill (2) positions. The Help Desk Technician is responsible for all Tier 1 and most Tier 2 hardware and software support to all ASU Beebe faculty, staff and students by telephone and email as well as in person support for faculty and staff on university owned computer equipment. This position is also responsible for the installation, configuration and support of all university computers, printers, related hardware and university owned software.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responding to queries on the phone, via email, in person, or through remote accessOffering technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, set up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware, and softwareEnter information into the Helpdesk ticket systemMaintain professionalism when working with clientsEscalate tickets to the next level as neededEscalate complaints to the next level as neededAssist other ITS team members on assignments and projects as neededOther ITS duties as assignedRequired Qualifications - An Associate's degree is preferred in Computer Science or closely related field. Relevant education and experience may substitute for the degree requirement; plus a minimum of one year related experience is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
