Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist Job Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an approved residency in anesthesiology
• Board certification or fellowship required
• Active physician license required
• Minimum of 1 year of anesthesiology experience required
• ECFMG and FLEX credentials as applicable

Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and coordinating activities within the anesthesia department
• Complete pre-anesthesia assessments and verify informed consent
• Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and treatment plans with patients
• Induce, maintain, and emerge patients safely from anesthesia
• Monitor physiologic status throughout procedures and provide clinical intervention when needed
• Provide anesthesia care across general, cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, obstetric, and pediatric cases
• Collaborate with physicians and CRNAs in a team-based care environment
