Overview
Occupational Therapist | Acute Care | Kapaa, Hawaii, US. Start date 07/20/2026. 13-week travel assignment in an acute care setting. Weekly pay range $1,947–$2,049 per week. Guaranteed hours 32 per week. Shift: 5x8 Days. This role focuses on evaluating and treating individuals in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation within an acute care framework.

Responsibilities
- Conduct OT evaluations and develop/implement a plan of care for Activities of Daily Living (ADL), range of motion (ROM), strength, and functional goals as prescribed by physicians for both inpatients and outpatients.
- Deliver direct OT treatment, including gait training, upper-extremity function, orthotics fabrication/fitting, psychosocial aspects, and functional activities; support group therapy and recreational programs as appropriate.
- Collaborate with nursing and the inter-disciplinary team; maintain accurate treatment records; coordinate discharge planning and follow-up with community agencies.
- Instruct patients and staff on OT recommendations; provide advisory and consultative services to teammates, activity programs, and other team members.
- Plan and organize workload to meet acute care needs; contribute to policy and procedure development; ensure documentation and compliance with standards.
- May deliver OT services for a specific unit, center, or facility and, when necessary, assist with patient transportation in the hospital van.

Requirements
- Hawaii PT license required (per job notes)
- BLS certification
- Experience providing OT services for ADLs, ROM, and functional tasks in acute care settings for inpatients and outpatients
- Ability to work in an acute care environment with physician-directed orders and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to obtain Hawaii licensure promptly (per job notes)
