Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care for a diverse patient population, including infants, pediatrics, and adults. This role involves managing various ventilation techniques and performing specialized pulmonary procedures in a high-acuity hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Administer non-invasive and invasive ventilation to patients based on physician orders and patient needs.
• Perform bedside pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and arterial blood gases.
• Manage and monitor arterial lines and oxygen therapy to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments, device use, and disease management.
• Respond to patient crises, including trauma and critical care emergencies, requiring timely interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation within electronic health record systems and follow facility protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Georgia or Compact Registered Respiratory Therapist license.
• Possess at least one year of experience in a critical care or ICU environment.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS is required.
• Demonstrate proficiency in arterial line management, aerosol therapy, and vent management.
• Be able to work effectively in high-pressure situations, managing trauma and complex cases.
