The Controller/Operations Manager Opportunity:
A growing luxury fashion wholesale company serving national boutiques and luxury retailers is seeking a motivated, strategic Controller/Operations Manager to lead the reimagining of the company’s processes and operations for rapid growth.
This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and is willing to take ownership of multiple areas of the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in accounting, pricing, inventory management, and provide day-to-day leadership and management integration across all aspects of the organization. Core Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Leadership: Provide leadership to a small team in all aspects of team communications and interactions, drive attention to detail and effective time management, promote camaraderie with patience and understanding, and coach individual employees to grow as professionals. Help set the standard and expectations across the organization for excellence and must be able to translate the importance of operational activities across functional areas to achieve high performance. Provide feedback to staff, track progress, and foster a culture of professional growth, training, mentorship, and accountability.
Running the Business: Run the daily operations of the business. Keep the CEO well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Act as the “barometer”, having a sense for the issues taking place in the environment. Determine appropriate course of action and response, and keep the CEO updated. Proactively ensure all the internal and external operational dots are connected in a timely and effective manner and that deadlines are met while minimizing uncertainty and impediments to high performance. Lead forecasting, pricing, and operational planning. Support CEO with reporting, analysis and process improvements. Maintain organized records and documents.
Accounting and Inventory Management: Manage daily accounting and bookkeeping activities. Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger functions. Prepare financial reports and lead month-end/year-end closing. Maintain inventory accuracy and perform inventory reconciliations. Monitor inventory adjustments, purchasing activity, and product movement.
Business System and Processes: Ensure the necessary business systems and processes are in place to run an effective and efficient business. Continuously monitor systems and processes and proactively lead process improvements. Ensure systems and processes are scalable to support future business and expansion.
Customer Relations: Work with vendors and retail partners. Act as the primary contact for customers providing support and problem resolution during the order and fulfillment process.
Professional Qualifications
Leadership: Progressive leadership experience with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams effectively and efficiently. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Operations Management: Demonstrated experience in product fulfillment (pick, pack, and ship) and inventory management and reconciliation.
Business Systems and Processes: Demonstrated experience in understanding and continuously improving business systems and processes.
Business Acumen : A solid grasp of financial accounting, bookkeeping, inventory management, pricing, marketing, supply chain, and general business frameworks to assess and lead the broader organization.
Customer Relations: Demonstrated customer service skills. Ability to handle all customer interactions with care.
Communication: Dynamic and persuasive communication skills that extend trust to the team by setting clear priorities for, delegating to, and inspiring high performance by the team consistent with the organization’s mission and brand promise.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word), Windows, QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Workspace. Advanced level in Excel.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree required. 7+ years of experience in successfully managing operations and teams.

Location and Travel
· This position is on-site in West Covina, CA, Monday through Friday. Must support regular international calls to Asia.
· Candidates must be open to limited US and international travel to support the CEO.
Compensation & Benefits
· Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 based on experience level.
