Compensation $24–$38/hr, based on experience and skills Higher rates available for VTS technicians Schedule 3 12-hour shifts per week Wednesday/Thursday, plus alternating Friday/Saturday Benefits Professional Development & Certification Support CE Allowance + Access to VetBloom for RACE-approved courses RECOVER Training 16-Week VTNE Study Group Program + One-time VTNE Reimbursement License application/renewal reimbursement for CVTs VTS financial support and onsite mentorship Partnership with veterinary technology programs, including scholarship opportunities Work-Life Balance & Wellness Vacation = 3 weeks per year, increases with tenure at Ethos Sick Time = 1 week per year Holiday pay = DOUBLE TIME Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Short- and Long-Term Disability + Life Insurance 401(k) with discretionary match Additional Perks Uniform Allowance Employee Pet Discount Responsibilities Assist in managing anesthesia cases while collaborating with board-certified specialists and VTS technicians Perform patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures alongside each surgeon Obtain and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates Execute, monitor, and recover assigned sedation and anesthetic events Assist with operating room duties as a nurse and scrub-in technician during orthopedic surgeries Provide comfort, advocacy, and high-quality nursing care for every patient Qualifications Experienced Veterinary Technician, Vet Tech, CVT, RVT, or LVT preferred Anesthesia, surgery, specialty, emergency, or critical care experience preferred Strong patient monitoring, technical, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced specialty veterinary environment Fluent English speaking and reading skills required Location & Surrounding Areas Mass Vet is located in Woburn, MA, with access to strong veterinary talent across Burlington, Winchester, Stoneham, Wakefield, Reading, Wilmington, Medford, Malden, Arlington, Lexington, Somerville, Cambridge, Lowell, Lawrence, Salem, NH, and the greater Boston area.
