Registered Nurse – Correctional Healthcare SettingWe are seeking experienced and dependable Registered Nurses to provide clinical services in a secure healthcare environment. This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care, supporting medical providers, and ensuring patient safety while adhering to established clinical protocols and security procedures.Position OverviewRegistered Nurses in this setting provide direct patient care to an adult population, perform assessments, administer medications, and respond to both routine and urgent medical needs. Nurses must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively within a structured environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care including assessments, treatments, and medication administrationMonitor patient conditions and report changes to appropriate medical staffRespond to medical emergencies and participate in emergency response protocolsAccurately document all care provided using electronic or written medical recordsCollaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and healthcare staffAdhere to infection control, safety, and security procedures at all timesMaintain patient confidentiality and professional boundariesComply with all clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory standardsSchedule & Shifts• Full-time schedule • Typically 8-hour shifts • Day and evening shifts may be required • Monday through Friday schedule; hours may be adjusted based on operational needs • Generally not to exceed 40 hours per weekRequired QualificationsActive and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of practiceMinimum of 3 years of nursing experience preferredCurrent CPR/BLS certificationGraduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)Ability to pass a background investigation and security clearanceStrong clinical skills and sound judgmentAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamPreferred ExperienceExperience in correctional, institutional, hospital, emergency, or acute care settingsExperience working with diverse or underserved populationsFamiliarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systemsBilingual skills are a plusWork EnvironmentThis position is based in a secure healthcare environment.
