Oklahoma City, OK 73142, USA Examples of work performed for Instructor Use excellent customer relations. Lead and motivate clients throughout intense training sessions. Build and maintain a highly engaged member base. Connect and reconnect with clients to encourage continued class attendance and support students’ growth. Promote Threshold memberships and services. Educate students on correct technique while providing modifications for posture during their fitness session and as appropriate for their success and capacity, this includes modifying specific exercises to accommodate the various skill levels in the gym. Attend weekly and monthly meetings with management. Maintain the cleanliness of the gym: before, after, and in-between classes, including organization and storage of props, mats and other implements (including ropes, weights, and/or sandbags.) Employee will also work as receptionist while not serving as an instructor answering phones and emails, as well as answer social media questions from members or potential members. Must maintain necessary certifications as required in the Employment Standards below. Perform any other duties as directed by management. Employment Standards for Instructor Required - National based certification(s) from a recognized national certifying aerobics organization such as NDIETA, NETA, ACE, USWFA, AEA, NASM, or others; American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA) CWI qualification preferred; Knowledge in route-setting preferred, no certification is required; Current CPR/AED certification required (or a willingness to acquire such certification prior to teaching at Threshold); Must be 18 years or older; Degree in exercise science or related field preferred; Excellent oral communication skills; Professionalism, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills; Ability to lead students in physical activity for a maximum 1.5 hours at a time; Proficiency in computer applications; Proficiency in Boot Camp style training. Knowledge of employment, safety, and merchandise handling procedures. Physical Activity Requirements Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion. Heavy Work Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
