Work Planner

Salary Range: USD $23.00 - USD $26.00 (Hourly) AMS is looking to add a Work Planner to our team! What you will do Conduct safety audits. Inspect rights‑of‑way (ROW) and easements for trim, removal, and chemical treatment requirements. Mark vegetation as required. Collect and report data required by line‑clearing contractors. Notify and communicate with customers as required. Travel to work locations as needed, including occasional day and overnight travel. Drive a company vehicle safely to work locations for the organization. What you need to have Minimum thirty (30) semester credits or forty‑five (45) quarter credits toward a degree from an accredited college or university, OR 2‑3 years of UVM experience without a degree. Species and hazard tree identification skills, invasive species knowledge, and tree growth knowledge. Computer and communication skills. Knowledge of industry standards. What would be amazing to have ISA or equivalent certification (preferred, not required). Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Working Environment Work alone in an outdoor field environment; vehicle and foot patrol of utility power lines; remote locations as well as urban, city environment; physical demands and travel from site to site. Travel may include walking/hiking on various surfaces – flat, dry, wet, slippery, uneven, rough, steep terrain, hills, and slopes. Exposure to noise, dust, grease and all types of weather and temperature conditions; exposure to hazardous traffic conditions. Physical Requirements The team member must have sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a field environment; walk up to 10 miles per day, stand, sit, and operate a motor vehicle for prolonged periods; frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, run, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand, arm, and shoulder movements in performing daily duties (e.g., forcefully beat down brush); carry, push, and/or pull light-to-heavy amounts of weight, frequently lift up to 10 lbs. and occasionally up to 60 lbs. (sandbags); operate assigned equipment and vehicles; verbally communicate with the public; see and hear within normal range with or without correction; and operate field equipment such as handheld computer, range finder, fyre‑key, water backpack, shovel, and traffic cone.
