Veterinary Client Service Representative/ Veterinary Assistant

Hamburg Veterinary Clinic, located in northern New Jersey, is looking for a part time Client Service Representative to join our team. This position is responsible for managing multiple phone lines simultaneously, booking appointments, checking in/out clients, and processing payments. Must have excellent skills in multi-tasking, client service, and communication. We are looking for someone with a great attitude, outgoing personality, a high level of computer proficiency and exceptional telephone skills. Applicants must be team players who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-timeposition, approx. 32 hours, with flexibility to work additional hours. CSR Responsibilities and Duties: Greet patients, their pets, vendors, and other visitors to our medical office Educate clients on the importance of preventative care Answer patient questions, provide assistance and directions when necessary Field all phone calls and send emails Utilize our medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for our patients Register new patients and update necessary records Process bills, invoices, and patient payments in office Vet Assistant Responsibilities and Duties: Animal handling and restraint Assist doctors and technicians with medical treatments, diagnostic tests, and procedures Obtain health history from clients and ensure documentation is accurate and complete within the electronic medical record Maintain cleanliness of treatment and patient areas Restock and organize medical supplies Constantly advance your knowledgebase and skill set Skills and Qualifications: 2 years of professional experience in a veterinary clinical setting (CSR, kennel attendant, vet assistant, other), preferred Candidates must be willing to be cross-trained as a Veterinary Assistant. Excellent phone and computer skills Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve and handle multiple tasks Must have the ability to adjust to changes in the environment and be able to handle stress in a calm manner Must be a team player, have patience and maintain a positive attitude. Must be able to anticipate and be detail oriented due to the high level of quality medicine. Must be able to lift and restrain pets of at least 40 pounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr
