Quick Facts Location: 101 East Wood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303 Start Date: 05/15/2026 Duration: Permanent Shift: Full-Time (Includes rotating call schedule, every other night) Hours/week: Approximately 40 hours Employment Type: Full-Time License/Certs: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine; South Carolina medical license preferred Experience: Fellowship training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine preferred, recent graduates eligible Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 per hour (Note: Compensation details to be discussed during interview) Benefits Include: Competitive salary (to be discussed during interview) Sign-on bonus Relocation assistance Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Life and disability coverage Healthcare Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Dependent Care FSA, and HSA 401(k) retirement plan Employee Stock Purchase Program Voluntary benefit plans via payroll deduction Some employer-paid benefits Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do Lead and deliver comprehensive neonatal care within a 35-bed Level III NICU Manage a high-acuity neonatal patient population averaging 25-29 infants daily Support approximately 370-400 NICU admissions and nearly 3,400-3,900 deliveries annually Perform advanced neonatal interventions such as high-frequency ventilation and therapeutic hypothermia Participate in well-baby rounding twice a month alongside the Family Medicine Residency Program Collaborate with a team of four Neonatologists with rotating coverage Work closely with 24/7 Neonatal Nurse Practitioner coverage to ensure continuous patient care Engage with pediatric subspecialists including cardiology, surgery, ophthalmology, and MFM specialists Provide family-centered, evidence-based neonatal care within a regional referral center Support academic activities and clinical leadership within a well-resourced health system What You Need Required: Medical degree (MD or DO) Certification or eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine South Carolina medical license (or eligible upon application) Ability to manage high-acuity neonatal patients Preferred: Recent fellowship graduates Strong interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to family-centered care and team collaboration About the Assignment This opportunity is at a leading facility in Spartanburg, SC, known for its high-quality neonatal and pediatric services within a supportive community setting.
