Job Description
Surgical Technologist - Surgical Services

Schedule

12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule, starting at 7 AM for day shifts and 9 AM or 11 AM for evenings. Every third weekend and every other holiday as needed. On-call: once per scheduled shift.

Assignment Details

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of inpatient operating room experience, preferably with level 1 trauma.
• Required certification: Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Scrub experience is mandatory with competency in at least 5 surgical services including general, gynecological, and urological procedures.
• Preferred experience in neuro and vascular surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and management of the surgical environment.
• Handle surgical instruments and supplies appropriately during procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain sterile conditions in the operating room.
• Participate in ongoing education and training.
• Be adaptable to floating to other areas as needed.
