Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – North CarolinaStart Date: September 28, 2026 Location: Asheville, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Every other weekend required, scheduling based on department needs, flexibility required for all sections within the Emergency DepartmentHighlights: - High-volume Emergency Department with 101 beds serving over 100,000 visits annually - Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center - Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds - Cerner documentation system with GE monitors and Baxter pumps - Robust support team including techs, unit clerks on days and nights - Serve a diverse, multi-cultural community with over 120 languages representedRequirements: - Current RN license in North Carolina - Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting - Previous experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center highly preferred - Current certifications required prior to start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS - ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire - Demonstrated teamwork mentality and ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback - Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department (no external floating required)Why It's a Great Opportunity: This Emergency Department is recognized for its strong culture of teamwork and welcoming atmosphere.
