Details Emergency Department (ED) at a Level I Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30) Patient ratios are typically 1:5–6 and may reach up to 1:8 during high-volume periods or holidays Weekend requirement: 3 weekends (Fri–Sun) per 4-week schedule, with 1, 2, or all 3 days possible each weekend Floating required, including possible float to the Pediatric ED No on-call requirements Epic EMR used; training provided during orientation for those with limited experience Requirements Active MI RN license required (compact licenses not accepted; must be active by start date) Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale — all must be active by start date and cannot be pending ENPC certification preferred Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Level I Trauma Center experience required Epic EMR experience required Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration Copies of all certifications required for consideration Additional Information AHA-issued certifications are preferred Experience with continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration, and triage is preferred First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position Former core staff members must wait 12 months before returning and should be verified through HR prior to consideration All RTO must be submitted at the time of application; no additional RTO will be approved after submission, and no RTO is permitted during the month of July Maximum of 5 days of RTO allowed per assignment Pre-start orientation modules are required and completed before the first day; module types vary by specialty Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates American Traveler Job ID P-722280.
