RN - ICU

Registered Nurse - Neuro ICU (Nights)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 06:45); every other weekend required.

The Registered Nurse-Intensive Care Unit is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in a high-acuity Neuro ICU setting.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
• Contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques.
• Collect and analyze patient health data to identify problems and develop individualized plans of care.
• Implement interventions and evaluate patient progress toward attainment of expected outcomes.
• Assist with discharge planning and provide education to patients and significant others about illness and injury prevention.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Two years of experience preferred.
• Must be BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certified.
• Valid Oklahoma or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
• Experience with EVD management, ventilator management, and stroke management.
• Charting experience with Epic is preferred.
