Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity, running from August 24, 2026 through June 4, 2027, offers a chance to work full-time with a diverse caseload of students, helping them navigate both academic and personal development. Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Michigan teaching certificate with SCHOOL COUNSELOR (NT) K-12 endorsement
• Possess at least a bachelor's degree along with the required certification
• Previous teaching experience is highly valued and will be considered favorably
• Strong understanding of school counseling concepts and practices within your content area

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group counseling for high school students on academic, career, and social/emotional issues
• Develop and implement guidance curriculum and intervention plans as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support the holistic development of students
• Assist students in setting personal goals and developing academic plans
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality in all counseling matters
• Participate in school events, parent meetings, and ongoing professional development

Working full-time (37.5 hours per week), you’ll play a central role in helping students achieve their best, both inside and outside the classroom. You’ll collaborate with a passionate education team and gain experience in a dynamic, student-focused setting.
