IT Business Systems Analyst

Job TitleThis position will be responsible for supporting processes to report on condition monitoring analytics, quality, and value. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying, consolidating, and cleaning data and will seek to understand data dependencies, definitions, and data owners. This position will participate on cross-functional project teams and present insights outputs to project stakeholders. This position works their team to understand informational needs of end users and create reporting/visualization solutions that turn data into critical information to ultimately drive sound business decisions. The incumbent may prototype, develop, iterate, test, and deploy into production automated reporting solutions. This position will incorporate statistical methods and/or digital methods to solve business problems.Typical day will include:Participating in daily standups. Work will be partially project driven and partially supporting existing dashboards.Gathering requirements from business units and translating those to programmers and developers.Preparing cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.Conferring with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs.Coordinating and linking the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared.Technical Skills Required2+ years experience with Tableau and/or Power BI2+ years experience with SQLAbility to quickly process data and business requirements and create business cases and insightDesired Technical SkillsProgramming language experience ie Python or RData engineer experience (ie. more of an IT background, but data focused).Profiles who have previously worked on creating business reports, business KPIs.Soft Skills RequiredVerbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.Education RequirementsBachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.2+ years experience required.
