Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) located in an acute care setting, this role involves providing patient care on a 3rd-floor unit with 96 beds. The position requires a focus on patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, PNA, general surgical, stroke, and cardiac conditions, utilizing telemetry equipment to monitor and support patient health.

Job Details

• Qualifications: BLS Certification, NIHSS; WA or Compact license; 1 year of experience in a telemetry setting.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Days 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Nights 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.), minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Reading and validating telemetry strips; monitoring patients with telemetry-capable beds; working within a team that manages patient diagnoses including cardiac, respiratory, and surgical conditions.
• Certifications: BLS Certification, NIHSS.
• Additional Information: Float rotation may be required. Units operate with patient ratios of 1:4-6 and nurse aides with ratios of 1:8-16. All beds are telemetry capable and may involve titrating drips such as Heparin. Nursing staff may be required to work on major holidays and participate in unit-specific orientation scheduled with onboarding.
• Submission Requirements: Valid license to submit, charting in EPIC system, no BSN required, and pre-employment screening as per the onboarding process.
