Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring AWHONN or C-EFM and NRP certification.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit caring for deliveries, circulating c-sections, antepartum patients, and newborn assessments
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend work required
• No call requirements
• No floating required
• Nurse-to-patient ratios follow AWHONN standards, including 1:1 for Pitocin induction/augmentation, 1:2 for cervical ripening, 1:2-3 for antepartum and triage, and 1:1 for immediate postpartum care
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license in LA or compact
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Current certification required in one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients, as well as initial newborn assessments
• Navy blue or pink scrubs required
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate
• Previous CHRISTUS employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new travel assignment
