✅ Job Posting – Project Executive (New Drywall Construction – Chicago, IL) Position: Project Executive Industry: Commercial Drywall Location: Chicago, IL Employment Type: Full-Time Travel: Local project and client visits required (50%+ field time) - NO OVERNIGHT TRAVEL About the Opportunity A growing commercial contractor in the Chicago market is expanding their New Construction division and is seeking a strong Project Executive–level leader. This hire will step into an active backlog, support newly awarded work, and play a key role in client management and project delivery. This role is ideal for someone who is polished, relationship-focused, and experienced managing large commercial projects in the drywall sectors. What You’ll Do Oversee new construction projects from award through closeout Regularly meet with clients, visit active jobsites, and maintain strong customer relationships Lead negotiations on change orders and resolve A/B-level project issues Collaborate with internal APMs/PMs, who handle much of the internal operational workload Ensure project schedules, budget goals, and quality standards are met Represent the company professionally with owners, GCs, and project partners What We’re Looking For Experience in drywall project management Strong communicator with a customer-first mindset Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize field presence Capable of owning relationship management more than pure back-office operations Driven, polished, and comfortable handling client-facing responsibilities Interested?
