Travel RN - ICUAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring a VA or compact RN license and critical care skills including ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring management.Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00) in an acute care hospital setting with 255 staffed beds. The assignment is 26 weeks long with every other weekend required. Patient ratio is 1:2-3, and may float within scope to acute care during low census, maintaining a 1:4 ratio. Meditech charting system used (experience preferred).Active VA or compact RN license required. Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required, 2 years preferred. Proficient in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, and blood product administration. Skilled in ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, ABG interpretation, and airway suctioning. Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and management of acute/chronic renal failure preferred. Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management skills required. Ability to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips. Experience with hemodynamic monitoring devices such as IABP, Impella, and Swan Ganz preferred. No prior travel experience required, though ICU experience is necessary.First-time travelers accepted. Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to ICU patients, including hemodynamic and ventilator management. Zero-tolerance policy for THC; medical marijuana cards not accepted. Drug screening required during compliance and again on day one onsite. Fit testing required; candidates must be clean-shaven or provide an approved medical exemption letter prior to starting. Scrub color requirement: black or Caribbean blue. Local candidates not accepted; must reside 50+ miles from the facility. Not eligible if previously employed permanently at the facility within the last 24 months. Holiday coverage required based on how many holidays fall within the assignment period.
