Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant is a salaried position that reports to the Corporate Office Manager and will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

General Cost Accounting: Conduct various cost accounting activities to contribute to organizational financial insights.

Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements with precision.

General Ledger Maintenance: Keep our general ledger in top-notch shape, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Invoice Coding and Reconciliation: Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close monthly books promptly.

Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts monthly, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks.

Audit Support: Provide assistance to external auditors, gathering necessary information for annual tax processes.

Tax Compliance: File sales tax monthly with the appropriate agencies to ensure compliance.

Work Location: In person

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.

Understanding and adherence to generally accepted accounting principles.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Netsuite, or other Oracle-based accounting software.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is required.

Minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience.
