Travel CT Tech Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled CT Technologist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Roanoke, Virginia. Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Current ARRT certification Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Summary of Duties The CT Tech operates computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross‑sectional images of patients’ bodies for diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, positioning them with safety and image accuracy in mind, ensuring proper imaging protocols, and working closely with radiologists to obtain high‑quality images. The Technologist also maintains equipment, documents patient information, follows safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure, and provides compassionate care. Essential Work Functions Operate CT equipment to produce cross‑sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue. Prepare patients, explain the imaging process, and position them appropriately. Set technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology. Provide high‑quality images to the radiologist for interpretation. Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment. Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details in the system. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various facilities. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Reading, writing, and communicating in English. Proficiency in PC skills. Physical, Interpersonal, Motor, Mental, and Sensory Abilities Physical: remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend. Interpersonal: work effectively with various personnel, professional attitude. Motor: fine manipulation, push/pull, assist with procedures and equipment.
