Production Operator

This position supports safe and efficient manufacturing of energetic materials by executing manual production activities, operating equipment, handling materials, and packaging finished goods. This role requires strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards while working in a team-oriented, industrial environment.In this role, the essential functions are:Execute production activities including operating equipment, staging materials, weighing, and packaging finished product in accordance with standard proceduresFollow all safety requirements, including PPE, explosive handling protocols, and site-specific procedures to maintain a safe work environmentAccurately record and/or communicate production data, batch information, and material usage to ensure traceability and complianceTransport materials and finished goods using forklifts and other approved equipment as neededMaintain housekeeping, inspect work areas and equipment, and report issues to support safe, reliable operationsBasic qualifications include:High school diploma or GED with ability to read, write, and perform basic mathAbility to obtain and maintain required federal and state explosives licenses, including background checks and drug screeningAbility to work in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to outdoor conditions and physical demandsAbility to follow detailed procedures and work safely in a regulated, high-hazard environmentAbility to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and manual handlingPreferred qualifications:Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or powder handling environmentsPrior experience operating forklifts or material handling equipmentTravel, physical and/or government mandated requirements:Travel - noneAbility to lift, move, or carry items or equipment up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a manufacturing and warehouse environment for extended periods with exposure to varying temperaturesAbility to wear required PPE and comply with site-specific safety and regulatory requirementsCandidates must meet all eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain applicable state and federal explosives licenses, including minimum age requirements (21 and over), a drug-free workplace in compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 (41 U.S.C. §§ 8101–8106), Executive Order 12564 (Drug-Free Federal Workplace), applicable Department of Defense directives including DoD Instruction 1010.09 and DFARS View phone number on click.appcast.io and successful completion of any legally required background investigations.To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.The good faith base hourly rate for this role is $21.66 per hour at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive.
