Mental Health Technician (Part-Time – 2nd Shift)

Location: 1426 North 5th Street, Sheboygan, WI

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use services while making a lasting impact in the lives of individuals in our community.

What You'll Do

As a Mental Health Technician, you will provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals living with mental health and/or substance use challenges. Working in participants' homes and throughout the community, you will help them develop the skills and confidence needed to live as independently as possible.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide one-on-one support in participants' homes and community settings.
• Assist individuals with daily living skills, personal goals, and community integration.
• Support medication monitoring and encourage healthy routines.
• Promote recovery, independence, and overall well-being.
• Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities as needed.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Build positive, respectful relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.

Schedule & Pay

• Part-Time | 2nd Shift
• 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
• 20–40 hours per week
• Flexible scheduling available.
• Starting pay: $17.00 - 20.00 per hour , based on qualifications and experience.
• This program operates 365 days per year , including weekends and holidays.
• $600 hiring bonus

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working in human services, mental health, healthcare, or customer service is preferred but not required—we will train the right candidate.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to be insured to drive company vehicles.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for documentation.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Alternate between sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
• Navigate homes and community environments, including climbing stairs.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed.
• Lift and carry up to 10 pounds regularly.
• Occasionally assist individuals with mobility and other physical support tasks consistent with training.
