Research Coordinator

Research Coordinator (Massachusetts residency required) Position Title: Research Coordinator Location: Remote; Massachusetts residency required, with Greater Boston-area candidates preferred. Reports to: Director of Research – Dr. Jennifer Massa Status: Full-time, exempt (40 hrs/week) The Teaching Kitchen Collaborative (TKC) is excited to expand our team with a highly organized, detail-oriented Research Coordinator to support our Director of Research and growing research portfolio. This role is ideal for a proactive project manager who thrives on creating structure, managing timelines and competing priorities, and coordinating people and deliverables. The successful candidate will bring prior experience supporting or coordinating research projects, anticipate what is needed to keep projects moving forward, and be equally comfortable managing critical details behind the scenes and representing TKC externally. Essential Functions Project manage multiple research projects at different stages, maintaining timelines, task lists, deadlines, responsibilities, meetings, decisions, and deliverables. Support day-to-day research activities, which may include literature reviews, survey and instrument development, participant recruitment, data collection, IRB submissions, study documentation, and research follow-up. Coordinate investigators, statisticians, data analysts, consultants, and other research partners, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, taking notes, tracking action items, and following up on deliverables. Support the preparation of research materials, including manuscripts, abstracts, reports, posters, presentations, and funder deliverables. Assist with research proposals, grant applications, letters of intent, budgets, timelines, and other materials related to developing and funding TKC research. Support TKC’s member-facing research activities, including facilitation of the Research Committee, coordination of the annual Research Fellowship Program, and Paper of the Year initiative. Help coordinate communication with research partners, academic institutions, funders, TKC members, and other stakeholders. Maintain organized project files, documentation, records, and systems so that research activities and decisions are easy to track. Core Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; degree in public health, nutrition, health sciences, research, project management, or a related field is helpful but not required. Demonstrated experience supporting or coordinating research projects required. Working knowledge of the research process, including IRB submission, data collection, study documentation, analysis workflows, and dissemination. Excellent project management and organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, collaborators, deadlines, and deliverables simultaneously. Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, take initiative, identify next steps, and proactively follow up with others. Comfort working with researchers, consultants, organizational partners, and other external stakeholders in a remote environment. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in public health, nutrition, health sciences, research, or a related field. Experience with survey/research platforms, research datasets, manuscripts or abstracts, grant applications, or research funding. Experience supporting health, nutrition, clinical, public health, implementation, or translational research. Familiarity with nutrition, teaching kitchens, culinary medicine, Food is Medicine, lifestyle medicine, and/or nutrition education. Compensation, Benefits & Work Environment The salary range for this position is $65,000–$75,000, based on experience. TKC offers health insurance, basic life insurance, retirement benefits, three weeks of paid time off, and 11 paid holidays. This is a remote position with standard working hours of approximately 9 AM–5 PM ET, Monday–Friday. Some flexibility may be required for meetings across time zones and occasional travel.
