CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) travel assignment in Tomball, TX — 13-week cardiovascular OR role for experienced cardiac/perioperative RNs. Join a modern surgical team near Houston and provide high-quality perioperative care for complex cardiac and vascular procedures.

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000 - $2,100 (competitive travel RN pay)
• Location: Tomball, TX 77375 — near the Houston metropolitan area
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift: 10-hour days (07:00 – 17:00)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Unit: Surgery Department — 10 ORs and a Cysto room (Cardiovascular Operating Room / CVOR)
• On Call: Required 2 weekends per month
• Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs

Required Qualifications (Cardiac Surgery RN / CVOR RN)

• Minimum 3 years of recent cardiovascular surgery or CVOR experience (cardiac surgery RN preferred)
• Active RN license (state of practice required)
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience with on- and off-pump CABG procedures (coronary artery bypass graft)
• Vascular surgery experience preferred
• Strong perioperative skills, ability to maintain 1:1 patient ratio in CVOR
• Hardworking, team-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced surgical environment

Key Responsibilities (Cardiovascular Operating Room)

• Circulate and assist in cardiovascular and vascular surgical procedures, including on/off-pump CABG, vascular bypass, carotid endarterectomy, and PPM revision
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio during CVOR cases and provide high-quality perioperative nursing care
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team—directors, managers, charge nurses, surgical techs, nurse techs, and anesthesia techs
• Document accurately using Expanse EMR (electronic medical record)
• Participate in on-call rotation and adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and dress code
