Tax Accountant PositionWe are looking for someone who:Has hands-on experience with a range of tax returns, from simple to complex, across individual, corporate, and partnership types, with meticulous attention to detail.Excels in building and nurturing client relationships or is enthusiastic about developing client rapport and deepening engagement.Is passionate about mentoring and supporting team members, serving as a knowledgeable and approachable resource.Job Description Tax Accountants help clients properly plan and complete their annual tax returns. They review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns and support the firm's tax research activities. Our people provide the best-in-class advice and build long-lasting relationships.*Relocation allowance provided to qualified candidates*Examples of the duties:Prepare individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.Assist in compiling and reviewing financial statements and reports.Research and interpret tax regulations to support compliance and planning efforts.Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.Support year-end closing processes, including preparing work papers and assisting with audits.Maintain accurate records of transactions in accounting software.Stay current on tax industry updates and regulatory changes.Collaborate with senior accountants and managers to improve processes and efficiencies.Be an active participant in business development and cultivate relationships to strengthen both yourself and the firmPerform other duties as assigned by Senior Accountants, Supervisors, Managers, or PartnersQualifications & Characteristics:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA or EA preferred, or actively seeking either credential1+ years of relevant experience in public accountingStrong technical skills and a deep understanding of at least one to two specific industriesStrong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service, technical writing skills, and research skillsLeadership skills and ability to motivate others in the face of tight deadlines or complex situations requiring on-the-spot thinkingDevelopmental skills to train and mentor team membersOther things we think you should know about the position:Location – on-site in Sauk Centre, MNHours are normally Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CSTWho We Are At Christianson, we're more than just your local accounting and consulting firm.
