Advanced Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) - Patient Care Technician

Job Summary

The Advanced Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) supports patient care by performing technical and direct care activities such as CPR, vital signs monitoring, telemetry, EKG acquisition, wound care, phlebotomy, and assisting with procedures. You will help patients with personal care needs including bathing, dressing, mobility, and nutrition, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care within the scope of NA-C licensure and delegated tasks.
• Assist with patient transport, room preparation, and inventory of personal belongings.
• Monitor patient conditions, respond promptly to call lights, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Document patient care data accurately and assist with scheduling tests and procedures.
• Maintain unit supplies, adhere to infection control protocols, and contribute to a positive team environment.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
• One to two years of patient care experience, preferably in acute care settings.
• Telemetry experience is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Work Environment
