Clinical Research Nurse - per diem

Per diem clinical research nurse position at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Las Vegas overseeing nursing operations, coordinating patient care, and ensuring compliance with clinical trial standards. Flexible 12-hour shifts with minimum availability of two weekend shifts monthly and one shift weekly.

Responsibilities

• Review patient eligibility criteria and witness informed consent processes for clinical studies
• Monitor patient safety by assessing adverse events and communicating findings to investigators
• Perform clinical procedures including vital signs, blood draws, ECGs, and drug administration
• Ensure staff adherence to GCP, ICH, FDA, and OSHA guidelines and regulations
• Evaluate patient research experience and attend study initiation meetings as needed

Requirements

• ADN from accredited institution with active RN or LVN license
• Minimum one year experience as RN or LVN
• Knowledge comparable to six years experience; bachelor's degree preferred
• ACLS certification and ability to respond to medical emergencies
• Proficiency in administering investigational drugs and performing clinical procedures
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and computer literacy
• Ability to work in team environment with diverse staff and patients
