Exciting Night Shift RN Opportunity!

Job Description:


- Join a dynamic healthcare team as a competent Nurse working the night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM!

- Enjoy the autonomy of practicing independently while being aware of all relevant aspects of patient care.

- Provide both routine and complex care with a focus on achieving long-range goals and plans.

- Continuously develop your skills to manage contingencies in clinical nursing.

- Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to fellow care providers to enhance overall clinical management.

Responsibilities:


- Meet expectations of the relevant One CHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.

- Utilize the nursing process-assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation-for your assigned patients.

- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families according to your level of practice.

- Administer medications and treatments using the appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness.

- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately and promptly.

- Assess learning needs and educate patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and resources for support.

Job Requirements:


- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.

- Experience: 1+ year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred.

- Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only).
- Current ACLS certification required (AHA only).
- RN License in the state of TX or compact.

Position Requirements:


- Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.

- New hires will be precepted by a designated trained staff member.

- Initial onboarding requirements validated through successful completion of designated organizational entry competency validation and MedSurg-specific competency validation.

- Participate in residency programs or specific orientations as a newly licensed RN.

- Complete all annual competency verification requirements.

Work Schedule:


- Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

- Work Type: Full-Time

General Comments:


- Backfill replacement for a vacant position.

- Number of Positions: 1.

- Guaranteed Hours: Contract Weeks: 91.
