Senior Payroll and Benefits Lead

Burnett Staffing Specialists

Senior Payroll and Benefits Lead oversees multi-state payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role manages payroll cycles, audits, reporting, and vendor coordination while maintaining strict confidentiality of employee and payroll data. The position partners closely with HR, payroll, and management to improve processes, resolve issues, and support a positive employee experience. Key Responsibilities Manage multi-state, multi-entity payroll processing, including bonuses, commissions, benefits, and special deductions Review payroll calculations, audits, and approvals to ensure accuracy and compliance Maintain payroll and benefits records, reports, and documentation Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations Serve as a payroll and benefits subject‑matter resource for employees and managers Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues and improve processes Audit and reconcile payroll‑ and benefits‑related invoices and reports Develop and maintain procedures, checklists, calendars, and job aids Support timekeeping accuracy and process improvements Provide training and cross‑functional support as needed Required Qualifications 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, calculations, and reporting Experience with payroll systems (UKG/Ultipro preferred) Bilingual (English/Spanish) Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related applications Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively #J-18808-Ljbffr Burnett Staffing Specialists
