About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:30 - 15:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required, prior travel experience preferred License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Circulating experience in the operating room - Ability to report in person for the first day - Availability for rotating call shifts Description: Registered Nurse needed for the Operating Room. Must have experience as a circulating nurse. Shifts will consist of 5 days a week, 8 hours per day. Call will rotate among two RNs and apply only to general surgery and emergency procedures. The nurse will report for their first day of work before transitioning to another location for the remainder of the contract. Skills required include proficiency in various surgical procedures such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and C-sections. Experience with the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and knowledge of infection control protocols is essential. Ideal candidates will demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills while providing care to diverse patient populations. Call is required, and nurses should be prepared for weekend coverage as needed. A strong foundation in patient safety, including familiarity with universal protocols and specimen handling, is crucial for this role.
