Job Description

Loyal Source is seeking an Audiologist to conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) disability examinations for Veterans applying for benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).


This role focuses on reviewing medical records, performing comprehensive auditory exams, physical assessments, documenting findings, and providing objective medical opinions that support the VA disability determination process.


This is not a treatment role. The position does not include prescribing, treatment planning, hearing aid fittings, or ongoing patient management.


Pay Rate: $112,091.20 - $130,091.20 / year

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Clinics closed on holidays.


Location: Kanawha, WV


Travel: Approximately 10% travel to support other Loyal Source clinics.


Clinical Scope: Compensation & Pension disability examinations for hearing conditions (Hearing Loss, Tinnitus). Comprehensive auditory exams will require thorough hearing assessment, diagnostic testing, and medical opinions, but no treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete diagnostic hearing evaluations on adult age populations, for purposes of Veteran's disability exams.
• Input Audiometric data into DBQ format, within 24 hours of exam, for disability rating purposes
• Provide a full medical record review with medical opinion noted in rationale when warranted
• Maintain a flexible working schedule to accommodate fluctuations in referral volumes, helping the company meet goals and objectives
• Meets credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master's degree in Audiology accredited by ACAE, CAA, or ASHA
• Minimum of 1 year of experience
• BLS certification from AHA, ARC, ASHI or willingness to obtain
• Full, active, unencumbered Audiology license in the US
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to maintain requirements specific to federal contractors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in EMR systems & technology
• Experience with Disability Benefits Questionaries with Veterans

Physical and Schedule Requirements

• Prolonged periods standing, sitting at a desk, and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Ability to see, hear, smell, bend, stretch, and engage in a full range of motion to safely conduct comprehensive physical examinations.
• Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM standard schedule. Clinics are closed on holidays.
• Approximately 10% travel to support other Loyal Source clinics. Additional travel may be required for training or company events.
