PD Respiratory Therapist – Per Diem Location: Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ 07039 Shift: Evening Pay Range: $52.79 per hour Job Overview The primary function of a Registered Respiratory Therapist is to provide respiratory care to a variety of inpatients and outpatients, including therapeutic, diagnostic, educational, and invasive procedures for adult, pediatric, and infant NBI/CHoNJ patients. Qualifications Required: Graduate of an NBRC school for respiratory care Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist by NBRC Licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care Successful completion of all Orientation Programs Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required Scheduling Requirements Per Diem Evening shift Essential Functions Helps patient accomplish treatment plan and supports life by administering inhalants and operating mechanical ventilators. Operates therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators; administers respiratory therapy treatments by performing bronchopulmonary drainage. Assists with breathing exercises; monitors physiological responses to therapy such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes; directs treatments given by aides, technicians, and assistants.
