Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care (Step down) – Southside Medical CenterThe Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient statusActing as the service line between Med-Surg and ICU unitsDetermining the priority of the patient's problems and needsDeveloping and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomesEnsuring a safe and therapeutic environmentEssential Functions:Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care teamConducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectivenessServes as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departmentsActs as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the departmentAdminister medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization's policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedEducation:Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)Certifications:Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care, ACLS required within 6 months of hire)Experience:1 year of RN experience (required)6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)Range:Minimum: $34.33Maximum: $54.93Bon Secours is an equal opportunity employer.As a Bon Secours associate, you're part of a Mission that matters.
