Job Title Orthopedic Surgery Physician – Independent Practice Physician (Ownership Model, Not Employed) Job Type Independent Practice Opportunity Overview This position is for physicians seeking to establish or transition into an independently operated medical practice supported by a comprehensive administrative infrastructure that handles non‑clinical business functions. Physicians own and operate their own practice entity, while the support organization provides billing, coding, payer contracting, EHR, financial reporting, staffing, and supply‑chain coordination. The physician retains full clinical authority and is not employed by the support organization. Physician Responsibilities Provide care within the physician’s specialty scope Develop and maintain professional relationships within the medical community Coordinate payer credentialing with support organization assistance as required Determine clinical services offered Manage clinical quality and patient experience Administrative Support Provided by the Support Organization Practice formation coordination Billing and collections management Payer contract negotiation Financial infrastructure and reporting Operational workflows and staffing systems Technology platform and implementation Requirements MD or DO with an unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice Interest in the independent practice model Preferred Desire for practice ownership Community‑based care interest Leadership or program development interest Location Multiple U.S. markets are available (urban, suburban, and rural).
