JOB SUMMARY: The Distribution Line Lead works on the line and performs all duties of the Distribution Specialist and is responsible for leading the team as directed by the Distribution Manager. This position is also responsible for training new team members and for keeping the Distribution Manager abreast of changes, potential problems and status updates. This position is at our North location at 4950 NE 29th, Des Moines, Iowa. 50317.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to accurately count products in assigned section as picked for each invoice.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs. repetitively.
• Ability to work within established time and quality control goals for this area.
• Ability to learn and master new tasks quickly.

Leadership:

• Communicates with team members and shares expectations, duties, daily assignment and goals

• Keeps team on task by assisting in set up of new distribution lines as required
• Provides daily report and updates to Distribution Manager with concerns, potential issues etc.
• Responsible for issuing out damaged product from inventory and ensures that it is distributed and received by the Returns department
• Assists team with issues that might arise and escalates to Manager as necessary

Distribution:

• Counts and picks product per customer invoice or pick ticket for assigned section.
• Able to perform all functions in each section of the line
• Places the corresponding shelf labels for peg-able products in the box
• Responsible for keeping work area clean and safe by assisting with cleanup of line and surrounding areas

ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS : The daily responsibilities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, sitting, walking and standing functions. Frequent repetitive motion activities are required. Must be able to read print and computer based materials and to do so with consistent accuracy. Most of these functions require light physical exertion and are conducted in a temperature controlled environment with occasional exposure to hot and cold temperature.

INTELLECTUAL/EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The occupant of this position must be able to perform the responsibilities of the position well under pressure. The position requires adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. This position requires the ability to manage a number of projects at one time, and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of others. It also requires adaptability to fluctuate between priorities on a daily basis while being responsive to needs as they arise.
