Nursing PositionResponsible for providing professional nursing care for SIH patients.Education:Associate, Diploma, Bachelor's degree or Master's in NursingLicenses and Certification:Current Illinois Registered Nurse licenseCurrent CPR/BLS CardCurrent ACLS cardExperience and Skills:Technical Experience: NARole Specific Responsibilities:Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needsEstablish a compassionate environment to provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patient and familiesAssess, plans, implements, and evaluates an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care teamProvide in health teaching and counseling to promote, attain, and maintain the optimum health level of patientsDemonstrate ability to use clinical judgement in conjunction with critical thinking to recognize, act upon, and report changes in patient conditionComplete, accurate and timely documentation in patient medical recordProvide input into the development of policies and procedures to support patient safety and quality of careSupervision and delegation responsibilities of licensed practical nurse and/or unlicensed assistant personnelServe as an advocate for the patient by communicating and collaborating with other health service professionalsTimely completion of required education, competencies, and licensureFloat to other SIH nursing units within competency levelCompensation (Commensurate with experience): $31.25 to $49.06
