L.I.N.K. Program Aide (PART TIME)

Work Schedule: 10 months

Salary Classification: Support Staff Salary Schedule - Group A $15.19

General Statement of Responsibilities: To provide support to program supervisors and to enhance the daycare environment for students.

Essential Functions

Instructional Duties:

• Assists in preparation of instructional materials and physical environment;
• Assists in planning and preparation for group and individual activities;
• Assists substitutes to ensure continuity of learning processes;
• Assists with parent activities;
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Student Interaction:

• Supervises students as assigned, during non-instructional activities;
• Provides individual and group support to reinforce skills;
• Provides enrichment and remedial assistance as required;
• Participates in activities that will develop positive interactions in the instructional process;
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Other:

• Performs some assigned light cleaning, as necessary.

Required Qualifications

A. Education, Training & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred; No prior experience required; Ability to communicate and work well with staff.

B. Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry a preschool aged child, if necessary, in case of illness, injury, fire drill, etc.

C. Commitment & Dependability:

• Willingness to perform as an integral member of a successful team; Dedication to providing the highest level of service; Adherence to policies and procedures.

Evaluation Procedure: In accordance with provisions specified in Governing Board policy;

Supervision Received: Program Director

Supervisory Responsibility: None.
