Medical Laboratory Scientist II

$3,500 per month

UVM Health Network - Central Vermont Medical Center

Healthier communities. Healthiest lives. Together. Schedule 7 days on / 7 days off (56 hours per pay). Shift hours 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm. Sign‑On Bonus $3,500 paid over 2 years, subject to taxes and terms. UVMH employees not eligible. Relocation Prorated package for candidates moving more than 120 miles. Terms apply. Responsibilities Perform, calculate, review, and report laboratory diagnostic tests. Perform phlebotomy as needed. Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment. Understand clinical significance of testing. Correct procedural/instrument issues. Teach, train, and mentor staff. Education Bachelor’s degree in biological science or chemistry. Medical Laboratory Scientist certification required or to be obtained within 1 year if not already certified. Experience Minimum: completed MLS internship.
