Complete Care at Whispering Woods is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and oversee the delivery of high-quality clinical care to our assisted living residents.

The Director of Nursing will provide clinical leadership, support nursing staff, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and promote a culture centered on resident safety, dignity, and quality of care.

Responsibilities for Director of Nursing (DON):

• Oversee the day-to-day nursing operations and clinical services
• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff while promoting accountability and teamwork
• Ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and individualized care
• Monitor clinical practices, documentation, medication management, and resident outcomes
• Coordinate with physicians, families, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers
• Assist with assessments, care planning, and changes in resident condition
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, policies, and quality standards
• Participate in surveys, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
• Manage staffing needs and help maintain appropriate nursing coverage
• Respond to resident and family concerns with professionalism and urgency

Qualifications for Director of Nursing (DON):

• Current NJ Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Assisted living, long-term care, post-acute, or similar senior care experience required.
• Strong knowledge of clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and resident care
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Compassionate, hands-on leadership approach
