Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher working with middle school students who require significant support. This contract position provides the chance to support a small caseload of students in a collaborative and dedicated educational setting.

Your expertise will help guide 6th-8th grade learners, focusing on their unique needs in an environment designed for students requiring significant support. You will work alongside passionate colleagues to create an inclusive, positive atmosphere where every child’s growth is prioritized.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold a valid Special Education teaching license (Please be prepared to present documentation).
• Experience working with students with significant support needs is highly valued.
• Comfortable teaching and building relationships with 6th-8th grade students.
• Ability to collaborate with instructional teams, specialists, and support staff.
• Strong communication skills and a student-centered mindset.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to a caseload of five students, addressing individual educational and behavioral goals.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs.
• Foster an engaging and supportive classroom atmosphere.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student success.
• Collect and communicate progress data for ongoing evaluation and program adjustment.

Position Details:

• Contract begins immediately and may continue through 5/28.
• Full-time (40 hours/week): Mon/Thu/Fri 8:40–3:50; Wed 9:40–3:50.
• Work in a dedicated classroom supporting significant support needs.
• Compensation is provided at $82.58 per hour.
