Details Emergency Department Holding unit within a hospital setting Cares for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00), 36 hours per week Patient ratio of 1:3 Epic charting system experience preferred Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS Minimum 2 years of ER, ER Holding, or MS/Tele nursing experience required Experience with MS/Tele, Tele, or PCU/Stepdown also acceptable Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and line management preferred Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP and ventilator management preferred Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management skills preferred 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or Supervisor and the second from a Charge RN or higher; no coworker references accepted Additional Information Provide emergency and holding-area nursing care across a diverse patient population First-time travelers are welcome to apply Locals are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more Current employees of the health system are ineligible for travel assignments at any of its hospital locations RTO must be submitted and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing the contract due to strict compliance timelines American Traveler Job ID P-748433.
